Mikyoung Kim, Walter Hood of Hood Design Studio, and Michelle Delk of Snohetta will be delivering an education session at this year’s National ASLA Conference titled “Jumping off the Deep End: Strength of Diversity in Building a Practice.”

Through a case study approach, they will share their ”beginnings” in building their practices from the ground up with a pluralistic ethos; one that blurs boundaries and embraces differences. In discussing their “’first” projects from across the globe, they will share lessons learned through their own collaborative experiences and discuss successes and setbacks on the road to building unique identity-based practices in the 21st century.  Attendees will learn how an inclusive platform can shape an authentic and successful practice.

The ASLA 2019 Conference will be held from November 15-18, in San Diego, CA.
