Design Fest
Cooper Hewitt kicks off National Design Week with a day of free museum admission and hands-on activities led by National Design Award winners and guest designers. Ian Downing will be on hand leading a fun, hands-on design activity.
Audiences of all ages are invited to play designer and tackle design challenges in workshops, learn new design skills and explore the museum.

Teen Design Access Workshop & Fair
Join our Bryan Chou and Cooper Hewitt educators for an afternoon workshop for teens exploring the field of design. Attendees will develop an understanding of the design process and professional opportunities in the field of design then will participate in roundtable discussions with winners of the National Design Awards, other professional designers, and college representatives.

This year’s National Design Award winners Christina Kim, Neri Oxman, and Mikyoung Kim discuss the interplay of technology and materials in design.
