Songdo International Plaza

Consisting of approximately 18,000 square meters of open space, the International Plaza Master Plan developed with KPF creates a diverse collection of courtyards, gardens, pathways and gathering plazas along a primary spine of storm water collection. Composed of a variety of unique open spaces, pedestrians experience a rich landscape palette of natural and man-made materials, retaining walls and terraced landforms. the range of landscape spaces includes a series of gathering plazas, sunken gardens, linear parks, fountains, and planted pedestrian bridges linking the plaza across a major roadway. The LEED certified master plan incorporates innovative storm water collection systems and an integrated cogeneration plan that generates power for this new city.
