Are you attending this year’s ASLA Southeast Regional Conference in Greenville, South Carolina? As a keynote speaker, Mikyoung will explore “Building Innovative Habitats for Human Engagement.”

The theme “Leading Transformations” shapes this year’s conference. In framing her own experiential framework for transformation, Mikyoung will discuss how her work focuses on creating meaningful human engagement. Mikyoung will present projects such as the Chongae River Restoration Project, the Crown Sky Garden of Healing, the Chicago Botanic Garden Regenstein Learning Center, and the Prudential Plaza in downtown Boston. Through her stories, she invites listeners to imagine new ways of applying the principles of human-centered design in the urban landscape, innovative design’s ecological value, and the ways in which design can serve our most vulnerable community members.
