Intended as a public community space and visual landmark, the landscape and sculptural installation at the Ocean County Public Library symbolize the knowledge and community based functions of the institution.  Like beacons guiding visitors to the entrance of the library, the laser-cut steel lanterns are anchored within a courtyard with a direct relationship to the street, guiding visitors to the library. The design celebrates the expansion of this important civic landmark.
