We are honored to be included in Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas list for our work at TMC Helix Park. From the Magazine:
“A transformative urban development is taking shape on the site of a former parking lot on the Texas Medical Center campus in Houston.
Six public gardens are woven through the center of the site, increasing park space while improving its resilience to flooding. Arranged to mimic the double helix form of DNA, the gardens were designed by the Boston-based landscape architecture firm @mikyoungkimdesign and cover nearly a dozen acres in total.
Plus, instead of flooding when extreme weather hits, the site was designed to absorb water for the gardens to thrive.”
