MYK is pleased to welcome new designers Laura Pease, Tianyuan Yi, and Robbie Gaskins (left to right) to our studio! Laura, Tian, and Robbie all join us from Boston graduate programs in Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Laura Pease is dedicated to connecting the urban fabric to its historic threads, with a particular focus on climate resilience. She is currently involved in the design of Ford’s Michigan Central Park in Detroit and the Revere High School Resiliency Campus Plan. Laura’s research and design celebrates both the historic environment and emerging ecologies located at the new Revere High school. This year, Laura was honored with the AIA award of excellence during her graduate studies at Wentworth Institute of Technology.

Tianyuan Yi is trained as both landscape architect and architect, with a keen interest in parametric design and its potential to create dynamic, responsive landscapes. She is currently involved in the development of Ford’s Michigan Central Park in Detroit and New York Presbyterian Cancer Center. Tianyuan graduated from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design with a degree in Landscape Architecture, building on her background in Architecture and Visual Art from the University of Toronto. Earlier this year, Tianyuan received the Boston Society of Landscape Architects Student Merit award for her project, “Reimagining Water Rights” from Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.

Robbie Gaskins completed both his graduate and undergraduate studies in architecture at Wentworth Institute of Technology, bringing his expertise in design-fabrication and landscape construction to the office. He is currently involved in the Botanical Garden of the Piedmont, and the Revere High School Resiliency Campus. This year, Robbie received the Design Excellence Award from Wentworth’s School of Architecture and Design.
